Vaccination Information

Your routine immunization shots need to be current according to your age group. For children's routine immunization shots, click here.

Returning from Senegal, the US requires you to have already been vaccinated for Yellow Fever, but we also recommend vaccinations for these other diseases and the ideal time frame required before your trip. Though the time frame varies according to your specific vaccination drug, this is the an approximate time line to begin vaccinations. You typically need two shots of three total for Hepatitis A & B before going. One vaccination brand allows you to take both within a month before, though we encourage planning ahead when it comes to vacinations.

You need to see your doctor at least 4-6 weeks before your trip to allow the following vaccinations to take effect. Consult your physician about all these vaccinations, especially if you have specific risk factors such as pregnancy, allergies, or anything that lowers your immune system.
